Service was prompt and friendly. Accommodated some different requests happily and with ease. Food was lovely - a great range of sandwiches, hot food and home made cakes. French soup was delicious! A fabulous time, enjoyed by all! Thank you

Had my 60th birthday afternoon tea party with 16 guests in the Terrace room. The food was delicious and there were a couple of special requests which were no problem. The service was good, not too fast but no-one was kept waiting. Having the room to ourselves meant we could all relax and have a good time.

Finally visited for the first time today. Truly stunning place, excellent food and exceptional service. First class Second visit today - 2nd Jan 2025 ... absolutely outstanding. Chose off the lunch menu and it was perfect. We were in the POD, lovely experience. Everything about this place is first class - we will be coming lots more! The staff, as always we’re perfect. Booked to celebrate a birthday, absolutely incredible team who went out of their way to make the visit special. Settings are gorgeous, food was amazing but the 5 star service makes this place impeccable. Thankyou for a lovely morning

I went here on the off chance they would have room. I was on my own with my dog and was offered the choice of two areas to sit; at a table or a lovely coffee table which seated 4 and I was really impressed. I often get shoved in a corner to allow larger parties the pick of the tables. My dog was immediately brought some water and I had a drink followed by one of the best sandwiches Ive ever had; chicken, chorizo and pepper. The portion was large and served piping hot. The atmosphere is lovely and relaxed and I was impressed that I was accomodated; especially as I felt quite casual next to some of the other diners. Some drinks are a little pricey but there are plenty of other more reasonable more options to choose from. I thought my meal was excellent value for money and I wasnt rushed. Would definitely return if in the area.

Fantastic service at Lu’s place. The menu is great with some different dishes to your usual cafe, the posh crumpet was to die for! We will certainly be coming back to try more!
